I have problems moving around and I have 2 kids. My doctor says that a service dog would help. But I have only see where you need to pay up and over 3000.00 and the waiting list is over 8 months long. I was wondering if anybody knew of service dogs that are trained that were given to people who needed them for free or little cost. We have a friend ( she lives back east and we have no way of contacting her) who is blind and she didn’t pay a cent for her service dogs. Any ideas. I live in Northern CA. if that helps! Thanks!

PS: We can not afford 3000 for a dog.

I only know of places that offer service dogs to the blind for free/cheap. There are also places that can help train your own dog to be a service dog. I dont know of any specifically, but I do know they are out there.

I been surfing the net, and i am yet to find a free website that can offer me a free training on a dog, I have a 6 month shih Tzu, I want to teachhim manners, and tricks, so I can show him off, please let me know.

Why free training? You said you purchased the dog. Why not purchase the training? It is always better to take the dog to a class, because it involves socialization as well as basic obedience.

Don’t be cheap. If it is offered free, it may be worth nothing. Spend the money to have someone show you how to do it right. Then if you get another dog, you will have the information on what to do.

Well I have a black female German Shepard named Bear, she’s pretty disobedient, and because of that, no body wants to spend any time with her. She’s about a year and half old.
I really feal sorry for her, I mean she gets attention, but not enough.
So I need some tutorails on how to train a dog, and I’m going to try to make her my friend and spend what ever it takes to make her at least a little loyal.

Where can I find tutorials on how to train a dog to be loyal?

The best place to learn to train is at a training class. There is no better.

However, you could check your local library. There are likely to be some good fee books and even videos there. (I know there are at my library)
